Do I need a referral?

In the majority of cases NO! Physiotherapists are Primary Health Practitioners and can consult without a referral. You may need a referral in some instances if you intend to claim a Care Plan or EPC consultation or you are a DVA patient.

Do you accept all private health funds?

We do accept all private health funds and have on the spot HiCaps claiming, just bring in your card. We are also BUPA Members Choice Providers and honour the NO GAP policy for children with BUPA insurance.

Do you charge a cancellation fee?

We know your time is valuable, as is ours. If you fail to attend an appointment or give notice of your non-attendance, a cancellation fee of 100% will be charged to your account.

What can I expect at my first appointment?

A friendly face to greet you and welcome you to our clinic.
An experienced physio who is keen and more than willing to help you achieve your goals. A thorough assessment over 20-30 minutes to get to know your concerns.
Treatment and Reassessment to ensure we are on the right track.
Realistic and customised exercises sent straight to your phone to improve your function. A clear plan to follow to get the best outcome moving forward.

What relevant information do I bring to my appointment?

A copy or original of your latest investigations or scans, any referral letters and any relevant information from another health professional should be brought to your appointment. If possible, sending this information to the clinic prior to your appointment will allow a smooth and efficient assessment of your condition. Please note Physiofirst strictly adheres to the current Data Privacy Policy concerning Health Information and stores any records on an encrypted server for security and piece of mind.
